Comments Thread For: Janibek Alimkhanuly Tested, Wins Decision Over Denzel Bentley in Tough Fight

By Keith Idec - The middleweight division's supposed boogeyman survived somewhat of a scare Saturday night in Las Vegas. Janibek Alimkhanuly was listed by most sportsbooks as a 20-1 favorite over British underdog Denzel Bentley, but Bentley withstood Alimkhanuly's power early and made their 12-round middleweight title fight very competitive over the final

At the Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort, middleweight boogeyman Janibek "Qazaq Style" Alimkhanuly (12-0, 8 KOs) will defend his WBO world title against British champion Denzel Bentley (17-1-1, 14 KOs). This is the first title defense for Janibek, who was elevated from interim champion after Demetrius Andrade elected to move up in weight.

The co-feature sees Seniesa "Super Bad" Estrada (22-0, 9 KOs), defend her WBA minimumweight world title against Argentina's Jazmin Gala Villarino (6-1-2, 1 KO). Estrada, who formerly held the WBO light flyweight crown, will make her Top Rank debut after signing a long-term pact with the promotional company earlier this year.

I can tune you in when it starts by using Regge if you like.

But it likely takes place in 30-40 minutes after the undercard starts if the tapology fight card is correct.

Pretty good win for upcomer like Mireles, but for someone so huge he gets caught a lot in a division filled with heavy hitters despite his height and reach.

Balderas has to look impressive here, if he wants to break into the upper eschelon

Balderas almost finished Esteban Sanchez in the first round, impressive despite the commentary's jabs at Karlos.

Would liike to see Sanchez try some more left hooks, I remembver Giron could not miss that shot against KB. He landed a decent one in that exchange in round 1 but ended up the worst of it
