Comments Thread For: Becoming A Two Time Undisputed Champion Is Within Bivol's Reach Says Eddie Hearn

Though brilliant, Dmitry Bivol's career appeared to be floundering. With little to no options against the rest of the light heavyweight division's elite, an inquisitive look was etched upon his face as Canelo Alvarez audaciously made the decision to face him.

Delusion. Anything short of his performance at 175 Canelo will be given the fight. Hearn is doing crack if he Bivol can drain himself and be 100% of himself at 168. Anything short of that, those 115-113 rigged cards will be flipped in Canelo's favor.

Shameful that the supposed p4p best needs to drain his opponent in order to win. This why no one respects canelo.

I'm convinced this Hans moleman writer doesn't watch boxing.
"after struggling the first few rounds bivol eventually found his rhythm" bro wtf are you talking about? Bivol never struggled with carnelo. The guy dominated the entire fight

Boxingscene needs to fire this moron

At 168 Bivol would probably handicap himself and be drained as ***/ be a shade of himself. Of course he could do that but he should demand 50% of money.

Agree with all of you...especially with the concept that if canelo lands 5 hooks to the arms per round instead of 3 he wins a decision. Just awful that any real boxing fan can see that BS coming miles away. I can't wait until he retires.

If Bivol does go to 168 and beats Canelo--much damage will be done to Canelo's legacy. Can Bivol beat Beterbiev? That guy is pretty tough--Bivol has to be on his toes and not get clipped by the bigger puncher. Interesting fights.

Hearn is just a c..t and plays with peoples lives for money , he has no scruples at all . Bivol is a career light heavyweight for a reason , that's his safe weight. Hearn is looking for advantages for Canelo who can not beat Bivol at light heavyweight.

Hearn is a bit too desperate to throw anyone in with anyone to make big fights, potentially derailing careers. Bivol should focus on undisputed at 175. Fight Buatsi if he needs to preoccupy himself before Beterbiev for the second half of 2023. Canelo has good fights at 168 vs Ryder-Parker & Benavidez (if he wins vs Plant).

Once the business is settled at 175, should be the only time Bivol starts thinking about going to 168. Or Canelo moving up for undisputed, whether Bivol or Beterbiev, that’s a huge fight.

Been thinking this other day. We'll take both fights. If it happened and Bivol pulled it off, he should be p4p no.1.

Ofc, too many variables: (1) that Arum suddenly doesn't mind Berba on DAZN, or DAZN happy to sack any screening rights, (2) that Bivol doesn't get caught by Berba at some point and cooked, (3) that Canelo agrees to stick his legacy on the line; he'll honestly view 175 as the safer bet, if he's taking any.
