Comments Thread For: Jamaine Ortiz: "The Comeback Will Be Strong!"

Heading into his highly anticipated showdown against Vasiliy Lomachenko, Jamaine Ortiz, by and large, was summarily dismissed as an innocuous challenger.

I thought Ortiz looked damn good, and expect him to go on and push through some of the upper echelon at 35. It was quiet delightful to see him at war. Would really like to see him in against William Zepeda tbh. I think that would be a war of attrition and a step forward with the way Zepeda has looked as of late!

I do t know how long he’ll be able to stay at 35 though, looks to be a large 135.

Made himself a lot of fans with that effort vs Loma, I liked his slicks slippery style vs Herring is when I became a fan. Now he got the experience, just need to improve that Stamina and he is a huge problem. Kid is a HUGE 135 so maybe 140 would be best and it will allow him to have better Stamina because he wouldn't have to suck down anymore

There is no strong comeback. He’ll get ripped off again.

Kid was robbed by a corrupt promoter and network.

He beat that overrated narcissist Loma.

Ortiz has the chance to win a title if he can stay at 135 for a while.

He was two rounds off from beating Loma on my card, would have liked to see him win

The guy is a really good fighter an he really impressed me against loma because he calls himself the technican an she showed great technical abillty against loma the way he was able to take away the angles from loma an use his jab an his size an speed to negate loma from getting into a rhythm for the first half of the fight atleast but in the back end of the fight he did fade abit an loma did get back into the fight but that's lack of experience of going 12 rounds in a fight fighting at the pace he was cus he was constantly working. But he's only 26 an he could have some really good fights at 135-140

Scores were too wide but I'm not so sure he got ripped off.

Lomachenko won 7 or 8 rounds. Right result.

What I can't understand is why people were so shocked about the competitiveness of it. You could see what level Ortiz was by his performance against Herring. A lot of people don't use their eyes, I think.
