Comments Thread For: Jamaine Ortiz: Once I Upset Lomachenko, Me & Devin Haney Will Be Fighting

Jamaine Ortiz obviously is well aware of his co-promoter's plan. The brain trust for Bob Arum's Top Rank Inc. intends to match Vasiliy Lomachenko against Devin Haney if the heavily favored Lomachenko defeats Ortiz on Saturday night in New York. Preliminary planning of what would be an intriguing bout between Lomachenko and Haney hasn't offended Ortiz.

Unless Loma got shot to both arms and legs in the war he shouldn't lose this fight in any way.

I watched parts of the Herring v Ortiz fight and I just don't see how anyone thinks Ortiz has a shot. Unless Loma is injured I think I'm just going to be watching a boxing clinic. I think Loma ko's him in 6-9 unless he's just trying to keep Haney at 135. If he blasts him out Haney is headed for 140. Bet.

Ortiz is fast enough and big enough to cause problems for Loma who has peaked. I don't think the recent inactivity will help the Ukraininan either. Five years ago, I would've expected a schooling by Loma, but now no surprise if Ortiz wins a decision.
