Comments Thread For: Jake Paul: 'It Sucks For The Fans' That Fury-Joshua, Crawford-Spence Fights Weren't Made

GLENDALE, Arizona - Jake Paul helped put together one of the biggest fights in women's boxing during his short time as a promoter. Amanda Serrano, whom Paul's company promotes, and Katie Taylor each earned seven-figure purses for what was one of

joshua needs a win or two to get back on track, going into a fury fight on loses is not a good look i dont think, as for the other one, cant force a mule to do what it dont want to do, or two mules, baffling situation

Dud Crawford ducked by pricing himself out.

Jake is so right. I agree with him. With all these belts and more fighters, why are they so hesitant to test themselves? Once they get a belt, they change. I think they flat out hide behind the controllers of boxing. Just follow the money.

Well, yes, it's because of greed that some interesting fights don't get made.

Too many today think they deserve Mayweather and Pacquiao type money, but they don't realise their market value is nowhere near that level.

So they turn down $10m because they want $20m, or even a lesser fight, they turn down $5m because they want $10m.

Today, Fury, even Joshua still, and Canelo could realistically get paid $30m to $75m (if in Saudi) per fight, and they already have been paid in that range. No one else gets that kinda millions.

Wilder got good paydays against Fury, and Golovkin, Crawford and Spence coined it well too.

Because most fighters view taking the L as too damaging to their earnings power. It is a mess, but I do sympathise to a degree with the fighters. It's not their faul that fans will ditch them after a loss or two. As long as fans treat fighters as if they are close to finished if they take a couple of losses, then they will continue to pad their records and take a low-risk apporach to fights. I don't see a surefire way around it, barring the UFC monopoly apporach, which comes with its own problems. It would help if the alphabet bodies were forced to rank everyone and all share one ranking system.

and this is where MMA(ufc, bellator) doesn't allow this bs.

This line certainly seems to be a silent shot at 'No Smoke'.

But certain members of NSB give Crawford a pass.

What's Paul moaning about?? - he got Fury Vs Chisora III didn't he?

Imagine if Fury retires again after Chisora and then only comes back to fight David Price. Fury fans will be proclaiming him the bravest fighter ever
