Marlon Tapales has waited literally all year for his mandatory title shot. For now, he will have to wait until the end of the year before receiving confirmation on what that opportunity will materialize.

Marlon Tapales should have had a blan B, like Terence 'P4P' Crawford, but I see that Team Tapale's is requesting an interim title, the bad news is that Luis Nery is next in the rankings ; I doubt Nery would want an interim-title, but who knows.

Nery was holding out for a shot at Fulton, but also said he's eyeing a move back down to 118.

He,he! Luis Nery sees Naoya Inoue dropping all the belts at bantam.

" It is more likely that Fulton can land a superfight with three-division titlist and current lineal/WBC/WBA/IBF bantamweight champ Naoya Inoue, who plans to move up to 122 following his undisputed showdown with WBO titlist Paul Butler on December 13 in Tokyo."

Is it really? Is it big enough for Arum and Haymon to do it? I'm not so sure about that! What could be more realistic is Brandon Figueroa and Stephen Fulton fighting for the WBC Featherweight title, since Vargas moved up! I would rather see Fulton vs. Inoue, but again, we know how these network issues go.
