Sometimes, it's just one of those years. After a recent stretch in which several high-profile fighters hung up the gloves with a subsequent summertime trip to Canastota, N.Y. all but guaranteed, the Class of 2023 is less certain.

In my opinion, Casamayor, Arce, Froch, Kessler, Gamez, Wilfredo Vasquez are all above Bradley, Hatton, R. Marquez.
Vinny Paz should not be in that list.

Froch, Benn, Eubank, Nunn all definitely above Bradley and probably should be in before Hatton - this writer is just a wind-up merchant.

Five who should get in: Ricky Hatton, Chris John, Rafael Marquez, Pongsalek Wonjongkam, Antonio Tarver.
Should get in some day: Paulie Ayala, Carl Froch, Henry Maske, Dariusz Michalczewski, Michael Moorer, Meldrick Taylor, Sung Kil Moon.
Some of the others you can make a case for.

There's a case for Nunn being in the HOF over Bradley but I can't see how anyone can think Froch, Eubank, or Benn deserve it over Bradley. Bradley has wins over actual all time greats no matter what you think of the decisions versus Manny and Marquez. He was the top dog at 140lbs even if the Amir Khan fight would have solidified that claim.

Eubank as far as I know was never a legit world champion because the WBO wasn't recognized as such during his reign.

Only 4 fighters belong in the HOF. Froch, Hatton, Eubank and Benn. The fact they're not is a crime. But to have Bradley, Marquez, Paz and Taylor as a yes is laughable. None of them belong. They were very good fighters, but not great.

The only one who comes close without getting there is Wilfredo Vasquez.

Have people who can rationalise their picks and not the idiots you seem to have. No wonder great fighters are excluded while those not worthy keep getting in.

Taylor would have absolutely smoked Hatton! (although, Hatton arguably has the greatest crowd of all time). On the fence about Paz: in my opinion, I think there has to be room for "great for boxing" which drives interest in the sport, beyond just being the best fighter. Think Ward vs Gatti, great for the sport! Paz had an outsized character and did win a title after breaking his neck in a car accident. I'm not necessarily saying Paz belongs in the HOF, but he did contribute greatly to the sport. It's called Hall of FAME, not hall of the best fighters.
