If this fight ever happens it needs to happen on FOX so that sports fans all over the usa get to see what would be an absolutely epic buildup between two guys who seem to genuinely not like each other. Plant showed that when he sits down on his punches, combined with damn good hand speed, he can land with power. I’ve always said he needs to new trainer to improve his game and he finally did that. I favour Benevidez to win but it’s a fight that has to happen and a fight that FOX should get rather than showtime. Benevidez would bring out Mexican American fans who wouldn’t generally watch boxing unless a Mexican was involved, clearly plant appeals to foundational black American fans due to his background of being raised around them, and his FOX numbers attest that white American fans are tuning in.
