Comments Thread For: The Shadow Of The Fate Of Olympic Boxing Looms Over Women In The Sport

By Corey Erdman - When Claressa Shields, Savannah Marshall, Alycia Baumgardner and Mikaela Mayer all turned pro, their goal, and the hope of women's boxing fans was that they would wind up in "superfights," ones just like their male counterparts were a part of.

Are writers allowed to be honest or are their eyes covered ?

Female sports, boxing in particular, are inferior and can never match up.
There is no way in this realm of reality female sports can ever compete in any way with men's sports.

If men are fighting on one chan, and women fighting on another at the same time chances are great 95% pf viewers are watching the men fight.

For one thing, no one know who the women are.
Another is the gap between good and terrible female fighters is wide AF.
There may be 5 notable women with some boxing ''skill''.

Men have no counterparts in sports.
Women are copying men in watered down versions.

So what? Should they just not bother trying any sports at all? The O2 show shows there is interest and appetite for women's boxing so get used to it.

They can try all they want.
Just be clear about their position.
        Women sports are inferior products.

It is silly that silly people think they can recreate the Universe according to whim. Women fights will be comparatively boring as women press events will be. It's testosterone. The only way you could get people excited would be to have them wearing a thong in the ring.

They probably shouldn’t. What was the purpose? Many people don’t like it, but at the end of the day the product is inferior when you compare it to how men perform.

Certain sports? It’s cool. Like tennis or track. However most other sports? No.

the main thing is they equality of opportunity, the outcome of that opportunity is dictated by market forces , it’s as simple as that

                    True
1 person may buy a ''work of art'' for a trillion USDs
                    Most people wouldn't.
Hype drives this type of shlt.
Makes people who the means to buy it and say they are part of that ''cultured'' click.

                    Paint on canvas, whoopeedoo.

If an inferior product can get that money, good on them.
                    It's still inferior.
And this isn't an opinion or driven by hype.
