The unified IBF/WBA junior featherweight titlist has been ordered to next defend versus IBF number-one contender Marlon Tapales. The bout was formally ordered on Monday, marking the second time this year that the New Jersey-headquartered sanctioning body has called for Akhmadaliev to enter an IBF mandatory title fight.
