Comments Thread For: Warren Says TV Broadcasters To Meet To Discuss Fury-Joshua, Expects Decision 'One Way or Another'

This is what it all comes down to imo. It makes sense for the fighters and promoters to want the fight. There's huge money involved. Broadcasting rights are often the main roadblock. I hope it happens but I'm keeping my expectations down.

Exclusive broadcasting deals are keeping a lot of good fights from happening.

Totally agree. At this point I’m starting to think that’s the aim of these networks. The fact they like bypassing promoters and signing the fighters exclusively only benefits the minority.

I personally would like to see it stopped. All these governing bodies need an independent body to monitor them.

This sport is a mess and I doubt it will ever be resolved and meet its full potential.

Personally I think that's why they signed for dazn, no threats on that side of the street & they've alway's over paid them.
Fighter's shouldn't be able to sign such exclusive deals any more as it's already prevented alot of fight's from happening pushing viewers away.

Since when does a guy coming off back to back losses and 3 losses in his last 5 fights get a shot at the HW champion of the world? Aj should be fighting Kownacki or someone else trying to rebuild their careers because that’s the level he’s on.

Why can't it be screened on BT sport and Dazn?

I don't know the detailed inner workings there, but the then HBO and Showtime both had Mayweather-Pacquaio, if I'm not mistaken.

And that huge money fight was put together quite hastily, and didn't have much buildup at all, with regards to any tours and promoting the superfight.

It's the WBC they made Wilder #1 after two losses and a draw to Fury they do what they like.

The reality is it a voluntary which given the number f times he's fought the WBC no1 (lol) is easy. so Tyson can fight who he likes if he's in the top 15 which given what they did with Wilder is easy. This actually sits as one of their more reasonable moves but thats only because so much else of what they do is a joke.

.. and Knowanacki won't fight a non PBC fighter anyway no matter how much money he's offered,

Joke DAZN needs to bend over. It’s the Betamax of streaming apps.
