Comments Thread For: Abel Sanchez Rips Golovkin's Performance Against Canelo: I Was Disappointed

Misleading article. The interview is on fighthub tv and he does anything but “rip” his performance. Nothing in the interview was malicious and Abel didn’t even come off as salty in any way. Anything for clicks I guess.

While some of what he said is true, he fails to understand that most fighters are long past their best and most are completely shot at 40. GGG took rounds from a P4P elite fighter at 40 and should be proud of that. Sanchez is once again hating.

Definitely click bait, but he does somewhat rip him. Anytime you say a fighter basically didn't come to win.but to survive is t exactly positive. But he is spot on telling the truth. I lost some respect for GGG after that trash, and basically a lot of things he's said and ways he's acted since after that 2nd Canelo fight.

Abel isn't bitter, he's sad. I've watched a dozen interviews where he's set up to say something salacious about GGG, and he never takes the bait, always stays classy and supportive. But he was very hurt, he said it was like losing a son. And then he sees GGG's entire fighting style and mentality and level of success plummet compared to when they were together, and it bothers him. Only natural. In his heart, he wanted GGG to win that fight badly.
