Gennadiy Golovkin had no excuses for his lack of activity in many of the rounds in the trilogy showdown with Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. At the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Canelo (58-2-2, 39 KOs) dominated Golovkin (42-2-1, 37 KOs) for the majority of the fight for a twelve round unanimous decision to retain the undisputed super middleweight crown.

If triple g was 5 years younger, GGG would have whooped that ass. He still gave Canelo a beating in rounds 9-12 so props for that.

They already fought when little g was 5 years younger you imbecile. And that fight was the reason Golovkin was never the same. This 3rd fight proved once and for all that Golovkin was terrified of canelo's power in the rematch.

Why? I like G, but it´s next to hopeless going after a skilled counter puncher when the difference in speed is too big (I had it 117-111 Canelo). I bet there were a lot of subtle feints and counter feints that seemed like inactivity to us.. so yes, it was high level boxing but not really an exciting fight. No problem with G telling how it is.

The issue with the scoring of these fights is a simple concept; look at Gs opposition BEFORE the first canelo fight & the nature of those fights. Because he was so dominant, actually losing is a crime. HBO gave em a HOPE right along side KOV. For the record G has been criminally ducked and the first 2 fights are tainted however. Literally!! I like to rate my boxers by their opponents but that’s just me. . Look, GGG lost to a very good fighter and he was the smaller guy going up to challenge the wt class’ unified champ who younger as well. This has gotten me excited about the Ramirez bivol fight, a zurdo win sets up an all-Mexico throw down!!! A fight I think zurdo wins I’ve always thought he’d be the one to upset canelo since he was the WBO smw, zurdo best wt IMHO, personally see much beating a 168lb Ramirez, outside of SOG. He’s THAT good!! Imo of course. There’s many ppl on that Benavides train personally I don’t see it; David who brings volume and pressure that brings out canelo defense and counter punching. IMO David brings out a p4p performance of canelo which puts him Rt bk as the p4p#1. I’m going to play match maker here; if zurdo wins vs bivol I think canelo should opt for David who I think is slightly overrated due to canelo-hate from a stylistic standpoint canelo taking the reach outta the equation and taking it inside to David, I see canelo stopping him I look at it as, how n what would Warddo?? I see a lot of Andre in canelo for that particular specific fight. I’m bringing these points up with the bread man, I’m sure he sees it also. Mr edwards I’ll be writing in soon

Not sure what you were watching, but at 40 he was gunshy for majority of the fight until he had nothing to lose but to "go for gold". Winning 3 rounds isn't giving someone "all they can handle".

Let's not forget that GGG was calling out Canelo when he was a JMW. I wouldn't say GGG is really a smaller fighter-in all 3 fights he was the bigger man, but Canelo is more acclimated to SMW.
