They deserve credit, the rounds were scored correctly and I think the public had it wrong. GGG is the more accurate fighter when stamina comes into play, Canelo gets loose and sloppy with his technique.
Right guy won but the championship rounds brought the marging of victory closer.
Canelo can't do 12 rounds at a fast pace, its a major flaw which I think the other top 5 p4p don't have but he's done a great job over the years of masking it and pacing himself better as he's gained experience.
Observation: none of the 3 fights with Canelo vs GGG were classics, all solid fights but their styles don't really gel to exciting fights imo
