Comments Thread For: Robert Garcia Wants Anthony Joshua To Hold Next Camp in California

Veteran coach Robert Garcia wants Anthony Joshua to hold his next training camp in the state of California. Garcia still wants to work with Joshua, but he thinks that the best way to keep working together is for AJ to prepare at his gym in California.

If he didn't move his spoiled arse to Cali for the Usyk rematch, he never will.

A lot of people in boxing were already aware Joshua doesn’t train as hard as it’s claimed. But anyhow

Wherever he trains , he can't train any harder than he has.The truth is Joshua has the beating of many at heavyweight but a few will always beat him . He is possibly in the top five but is vulnerable to fighters with a dig and tricky guys like Usyk and Fury who have much better skills than him.He looked better in the rematch and maybe the best he's been but he still fell short .....that's Joshua.

There's something to be said for being part of a good fight camp. Being around other top fighters rubs off on you, and the friendly competition to "one up" each other can push the training to a higher level than one would get training by themselves.

                    That’s what AJ always lacked

he’s always trained in that lottery funded sports institute, it’s not a real boxing gym. Him and his friends treat it like a holiday camp.

I’ve always believed that’s why he has no veteran tactics in the ring, the dark arts of using your size etc getting dirty.

they are things you learn in proper gyms, they toughen you up. Fury was about 19 or 20 when he just jumped on a plane to Detroit on his own and looked for the Kronk gym and met Manny, and obviously Sugar Hill. I can’t imagine AJ ever doing that on his own accord. He’s always wanted his little comfort zone, that’s why he never left that funded sports centre after he left the Olympic set up. I believe that mentality out of ring follows you into the ring.
