  • Comments Thread For: Brandun Lee: Whenever I Fight I'm Gonna Leave It All in The Ring

By Thomas Gerbasi - Brandun Lee admits he was worried, even if only momentarily, when he got the news that Adrien Broner had withdrawn from his Saturday main event against Omar Figueroa on a card the Californian was scheduled to be featured on.

I like this kid, and I wish the best for him! I hope he dominates on Saturday, and then moves on to bigger fights like Shojahon Ergashev, or Gary Antuanne Russell! By the way, can someone tell me how Liam Paro got ranked # 1 by the WBO @ 140?

He doesnt seem all that interested in stepping up his competition anytime soon, I have listened to him on podcasts.

That’s just the WBO doing WBO things. Their legitimacy when it comes to rankings is questionable most of the time.

it's just odd when you look at who's ranked #2 through #7! SMH!

Brandun Lee comes across as being honest, and articulated his decision to become a boxer as good or better than anyone before him.
I didn't know that he was a Mexican Korean, but that's just trivia in my book, the real question is can he fight with the best of them in his division.
That's what's important to me, and what I want to see sooner rather than later, he's going into his 26th fight on Saturday, and it's high time that he start facing off against the top 10.
Fights against Montana Love, or Gary Antuanne Russell, who both have less fights than he does or Sandor Martin who has almost twice as many fights, would be tremendous step up fights for him.
If he can beat those guy's then we have a truly special fighter, not just one who look like (Bruce Lee) a special fighter, and I believe he would follower's as if he were the second coming of Bruce Lee.

I agree. But you could say the same for the WBA. Should Alberto Puello be no 1? Against Akhmedov who was no 6? Most of the rankings are BS most of the time.

Are you talking about Lee or Paro? Neither are stepping it up in any case. They need to soon.

Sad but true, but I am happy for Akhmedov, because he deserved at least a draw with Barrios!
