  • Comments Thread For: Shohjahon Ergashev Eager To Make Statement in Detroit Return

Closing in on a world-title shot, Detroit via Rakhmon, Uzbekistan's IBF #6-, WBA #12-, WBO #8- Shohjahon Ergashev (22-0, 19 KOs) says he's aware of the danger and knows what's on the line when he takes on his next foe, fellow knockout artist Angel "El Furioso" Martinez Hernandez (14-1-2, 14 KOs) from Baja California, Mexico.

I like Ergashev. For the past 4 years I've kept an eye on him, waiting to see what this guy can become. He's still undefeated. But his record leaves a lot to be desired. And so does this next opponent. Hernandez has only fought 2 guys with winning records. In his last 2 fights. Both draws . Kinda sums it up for me. He has power admittedly, but against who? When is Ergashev gonna fight someone of real substance? I blame Salita. He's squandering Shojahons career. He keeps raving about him and his fantastic power, and how great he's gonna be, but continually matches him poor. So frustrating.

I believe Ergashev is the real deal. Can’t wait to see him against top tier competition.
