Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia: When I Beat Tank Davis, I Will Feel Like A Champion, Regardless If He Has A Real Belt

Fighting for world titles isn't the least bit important to Ryan Garcia. If their handlers overcome obstacles that could prohibit him and Gervonta Davis from fighting next, the hard-hitting Garcia won't consider their pay-per-view fight any less significant because they won't fight for a world title. Davis owns the WBA's secondary lightweight championship, but Garcia began demanding after he weighed in Friday for his sixth-round knockout of Javier Fortuna on Saturday night that Davis must move up to the junior welterweight limit of 140 pounds to make their fight a reality.

Rihanna will continue to be the same pretender at 140 as he was at 135. However, beating Gervonta will only make you a top-rated contender, but keep telling yourself you are on the same level as Devin Haney, chump.

I don't understand why Garcia signed with GBP! Seems as if he wants to be down with Mayweather and Tank, real thirsty! Shows up to all their parties, fights (even Rolly's), etc.!

Oscar De La Hoya Sends Floyd Mayweather Cease and Desist Over Tampering
              February 27, 2019

Oscar De La Hoya is saying that if Floyd Mayweather aspires to be a real boxing promoter, then he should do "what real promoters do," and go through the proper channels in order to organize a fight.

De La Hoya sent Mayweather a cease and desist letter after he was seen on a TMZ Sports video earlier this month attempting to arrange a bout between Golden Boy Promotions boxer Ryan Garcia and his former sparring partner and Mayweather Promotions fighter Rolando Romero.

In the clip, Mayweather offers Garcia $200,000 to get in the ring with Romero and promised that a victory will lead him to his preferred opponent and Mayweather-promoted fighter, super featherweight champion Gervonta Davis.

Garcia was later seen at Mayweather's 42nd birthday party where the two were spotted speaking with one another. Who knows what exactly they were discussing, but these series of events compelled De La Hoya to send Floyd the letter over accusations of tampering.

Tank will beat Garcia easily. Garcia doesn't move his head, leaves his chin out there. I believe he's gonna get iced by the first warm body he faces.

I feel that while Tank is a top fighter and certainly brings a lot to the table in terms of buying power for PPV that he and Ryan are one fight away for a mega fight that would be one of the biggest. Specifically, Ryan needs one more win vs quality opposition to really get the big ppv numbers. It'll be a great fight and anything can happen. Tank is explosive and can turn the lights out on anyone even deep into a fight. Ryan has the left hand and speed that can give Tank trouble. Should be an awesome fight.
