  • Comments Thread For: Mayweather To Garcia: If You Wanna Fight Tank At 135, We Can Make It Happen Before End Of Year

By Keith Idec - Someone from Gervonta Davis' team finally responded Wednesday to Ryan Garcia's persistent social media campaign for the fight Garcia wants next. Floyd Mayweather, Davis' promoter, told FightHype.com during a phone interview that Davis is willing to fight Garcia before the end of this year. Davis will "absolutely not," however, face Garcia at the junior welterweight limit of 140 pounds, a demand Garcia divulged after he weighed in Friday for his sixth-round knockout of Javier Fortuna on Saturday night at ******.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Tbf its a fair shout because tank even tho he won that micky mouse belt at 140 you could tell in there he wasn't a 140lb fighter. And if ryan really wants it then he should drop to 135lbs again. But there's to many egos here that are stumbling blocks for this fight from both sides

It was OK for Tank to face Barrios at 140 but Not Ryan. Ok I guess we know who's ducking who now

Its almost as if there reading my posts. They can agree on a catch weight for one. I know Floyd is saying this but Ill believe it when I see it. Ryan's making good money as it is. So it's not exactly like he needs this fight to make money, Definitely boast his credibility and his overall income if he wins tho. Same for Davis really. If it's a good fight everyone wins. They both just won by (KO 6). There both available for next fight, with no fight scheduled. They can sell out a 20k area and do decent ppv #s. They both need to man up and make this happened

Nothing wrong with wanting it at 135 which is where RG has been for years. It's hardly a sacrifice.

Why does Floyd always have to turn every discussion from other fighters to about himself and his past accomplishments? Your time is over Floyd. Also, since when does Floyd train Tank? As far as I know, he doesn't train Tank so how can FLOYD have Tank in the best shape of his life?
