Sounds like a good Idea to me. But can we trust the WBA to stick to it? They'll probably bring out a new mandatory champion belt. And Mauricio, show good faith also by trashing the Franchise belts.

Nice story about how the WBC introduced mandatories. But if Tyson Fury didn't take Wilders title from him, Dillian Whyte would still be waiting on a title shot. To this day. And Mauricio would still be letting it happen. Oh the irony.

It's a great idea, if the mandatories are worthy. The rankings need to be legit, and not full of paid for slots. Then four top contenders in an elimination series for a main mandatory for the champ will provide a good strong test. And the champ can chase the super fights. I'm all in.

I can think of a few good reasons why I don't think it'll happen. But I'm trying to stay positive on this, so I'll keep them to myself, and see if others bring them out. I'm sure they will lol.

Haha! ****** Sillyman : Bob Arum, Al Haymond, Oscar De La Hoya, Eddie Hearn are not going to sacrifice their fighters career in dangerous mandatories/eliminators. The current politics work just fine for the con-promoters and scary contenders, especially big draws like Ryan Garcia.

This concept is like a WBSS across mutliple weight-classes at the same time! For that to happen, the purses have to be greater than the usual pot ; PPV could help this idea take-off. However, certain networks that are helping build talent, are going to be upset about the fact that when purse-bids are won by the rivals, they would have wasted their efforts promoting tomorrow's star.

Still laughing at Eddie Hearn for losing Devin Haney to Toprank under similar circumstances.

            I'm kicking real facts.

Don't see this ever happening the IBF seems like the only organization that isn't bought and paid for, the WBO - by Warren and Arum and the WBC by PBC as for the WBA their rankings are all over the place in every division I really don't know what's going on with them...

But there is no way any of these "promoters" will risk their potential stars/champions in a high risk low reward fight especially not when it's more then likely going to be against another outfits guy.

Tell the people what they want to hear (?) maybe, most good and memoriable fights happen my accident look at BAM and how he has taken off in his last two fights. That said if those guys are talking to each other the sanctioning bodies I mean even though it is all about how to make the most money and a bit of doing the next right thing once in a while in setting up fights and fighters good. Sit down and get honest about PPV fights how you can not watch any known fighter without paying close to $100 bucks. Draw more people in by not just clearing up the fighters mandatories but also there level of access to fight fans new old and yet to be fans....... Take some of greed out of your promoters mouths once in a while and not bc a fight did not sell well so someone got an unexplained injury. Don't talk about football, and the like and compare it to Boxing unless there is National Commision of some type in all your organizations plans. Let go of some power, influence, and love of money just for the pure enjoyment of the sport....... Oh sorry what the hell was I thinking. Most expensive sport to follow ? Boxing...... the sport that takes it fans for granted....Boxing.....The sport that takes advantage of a fans love for there sport ....Boxing......The best fans in all sport.....Fight Fans there is one bit of truth.....

“Having so many champions with different organizations, the quality in the challengers can often dilute"

no the quality of the champions can often dilute as well LMAO

what about the challengers to your franchise belt

why does a good change that would benefit the sport have to take so long anyway, u need to have a system so everyone knows who the top dog in a division is and a clear path to get there & rewards for the person who does get there, if there are opponents who are ducking and diving they have to get out of the way clearly in that system, no they are on the other side of the side etc excuses

I have a even better idea just combine the rankings so we don’t end up with the WBA rankings in each division
