Comments Thread For: Ismael Salas on Robeisy Ramirez Knockout of Nova: We Worked On Sitting Down On His Punches

NEW YORK-Veteran trainer Ismael Salas was all too happy to see Robeisy Ramirez reproduce in the ring the mechanics they had been working on for countless hours in the gym.

Salas is underrated. Really like his "House of fundamentals" statement.

Salas is a very good trainer.

He's not having a good run this year like he did the past two years, though.

Robeisy may have used angles throughout the fight, but that KO came straight down the pipe. No angles to that one. Lol But I love that Ramirez was sitting down on his punches. We got to see what kind of damage he could do. On the other hand, I saw Robeisy get hit pretty square himself coming forward. I don’t like that for the future of his career. Top fighters could take him out. Perhaps he simply had no respect for Nova’s power after getting a taste.
