Comments Thread For: Nova: I Called Out Navarrete, Tried To Make It Happen; He Doesn't Wanna Fight Me

NEW YORK - Abraham Nova didn't waste a split second in calling out Emanuel Navarrete five months ago. The undefeated featherweight contender had just stopped William Encarnacion in the eighth round of a co-feature ESPN televised from Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York. He then made the most of his post-fight camera time and publicly challenged the WBO 126-pound champion on live TV.

Hes overlooking one thing. Robiesy. Nova looks like a big featherweight, but the Cuban school has tools for that.

I haven't been sold on Nova for a long time, though his last performance against Encarnacion was pretty solid. He might be a bigger threat at 126 than he would have been at 130. Very curious to see how he looks tonight

Haven't seen much of Ramirez, but when I was watching him tonight,
I thought how can this Nova fella overlook such a serious opponent
          and already talking about Navarette?
