  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: I Think The Fight Between Joshua and Fury is Always There

Eddie Hearn, promoter for former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, believes a fight with Tyson Fury will always be there as a major event. Fury, in the aftermath of knocking out Dillian Whyte to retain the WBC title in April, expressed his desire to retire from the sport.

First thoughts. Eddie Hearn never walks down the street. Second thoughts. If he did...as he said...it shows how little the people care about Joshua that they don't know he is fighting Usyk next.

Fury won`t fight somebody coming from 2 back to back losses, that is for sure.

Fury could fight josh if Josh loses rematch but will surely fight usyk. But id like to see fury v josh.
I hate it when figh ts are talked up but don't deliver. Been talking about Josh v fury for years. Of course one of them will lose in meantime so don't use that as excuse not to fight. Fury might not get as much credit for beating a Josh that's lost 10 times, but at least you've proved you can beat him.
Just like fury might not have got much credit for fighting Tom schwarz, Francesco pianeta, but at least fury proved he can beat them. Ruiz and usyk proves it, why doesn't fury have to?

People would just accuse him of fighting Usyk's leftovers.

Fury should fight the winner and then retire as undisputed.

The way Fury is behaving of late i.e going into semi-retirement.

None of this helps his form. Joshua could win that fight, due to Fury not training or keeping himself in condition.

Tyson Fury if he is unsure about retirement, should still be in the gym.

I think the fight will always be attractive in the UK, providing Tyson Fury is still the WBC Heavyweight Champion and unbeaten etc.

If Joshua loses to Usyk, and Fury is stripped of his WBC title? I think this will affect the value of the fight.

not for 100 million x 2 if AJ doesn't get those belts back.worst thing possible in the heavyweight division is to have a guy controlling the belts who can't generate purses
