Cool, bro. I wasn't trying to argue. Make a poll if it's announced. Make it simple as this one: Only two choices.Comment

Clearly it's an uphill battle for any opponent that has the reach and height disadvantage. Or size disadvantage. I do see that Haney makes a lot of repetitive moments for which it would be easy for Tank to set traps. Much in the way we saw Rolly bite the dust, I think Tank could do that against Haney.
At the same time, Haney seems to listen to his corner, and he has Ben Davison and Lee Wylie in his corner, guys that are boxing nerds and can really figure out the weaknesses of the opponents. I honestly think that they were a pivotal factor in Devin beating Kambosos. Haney has really surrounded himself with the right people. He seems to have done that all his life, and it's paying off.
Bottom line is that Haney is an Out-Boxer, staying at range and clinching if you get inside, with an emphasis on clinching. So that leaves Tank with one option—mid-range. He can't be on the outside because of the reach disadvantage, and he can't get on the inside because of the clinch. So for Tank to do his work, he has to always try to find his way into the mid-range of Haney. He has to do this for 12 rounds or for as long as it takes to hit him cleanly.
The downside is that Haney will fight Tank worse than he fought Kambosos. If Haney was worried about getting hit by Kambosos, imagine how he'll be with Tank. So I'll be honest, this could very well be Tanks hardest fight simply because he'll have to be really dialed in and have to have a great game plan. It's definitely possible, but my confidence level isn't really high that Tank could pull it off simply based on what we saw last weekend.
Has Tank ever fought a pure boxer? I think Pedraza might have been the only one, even though he didn't fight like a pure boxer because he fought Tank in the pocket. Was there another one?Last edited by Cypocryphy; 06-09-2022, 09:55 PM.Comment

I think it works the other way, because Tank is compact with explosive hands he can catch Haney on the inside, with short sharp punches I don't think Haney will be able to tie Tank up as easy as Kambosis because he is much quicker with better boxing than Kambosis, its a dangerous fight for Haney whom I feel will try to stay at range behind the jab, trying to tie Tank up and grappling will give Davis the opportunity to take him out.Comment

Haney’s style is fine. The problem is these boxers that are willing to lose by UD rather than try to win and risk getting ktfo.
Manny did this against Floyd. Canelo did it against Floyd and Bivol. Kambosos did it with Haney.
Loma did it for the first 7 rounds against Teo. To his credit he finally started to go all out to win. Yet he was done in the 12th and almost got ko’d.
It Tank keeps punching and tries to win he might succeed or he might get ktfo. But if he goes out like the men did above, well that would be a boring UD that Tank would be at fault for.
