Comments Thread For: Usyk: Tyson Fury Has The Right Mentality, Boxing Skills To Beat Joshua

During a recent interview, Oleksandr Usyk explained that Tyson Fury has the right attributes to defeat his British rival, Anthony Joshua. Last September, Usyk outboxed Joshua over twelve rounds to capture the IBF, WBO, WBA, IBO heavyweight titles.

    Usyk knows what's up.

He'll beat Joshua again, but if by some miracle he loses then Fury is still the man at heavyweight. Not Joshua.

Tyson Fury has the right mentality, boxing skill's, chin, and power to beat Joshua, and every other current heavyweight in the division.

I am Fury`s fan but I won`t give him a credit he doesn`t deserve. If he wants me to believe he beats usyk and Joshua, he must do it.

Fury beats Usyk and Joshua at the same night. I hope he'll return and retire as undisputed.

Yeah I can't picture Usyk beating Fury who knows HOW to use his size advantage.

Agreed. Believing that he can is quite different than actually doing it.

That said, I think he stops AJ but am not 100% sure that he can heat Usyk.

Usyk is skilled but too small. Joshua is big but stiff idiot. Most untalented cash cow ever.

Fury's skillset allows him to utilise his size advantage. Most people that size and shape, have zero coordination, speed, footwork, or agility. Fury has these in spades, as well as elite boxing IQ, skillset, variation, and mentality. Take a so-called highly skilled smaller guy - Canelo, Crawford, I'm struggling to see what they can do that Fury can't. I still like the Usyk fight though, you never know in boxing, and guys have to fight, can't just give someone a win based one likely outcome. Most would have thought Ali would beat Norton with ease, but he had 3 bites at him, and in my view, lost the lot of them. Nash out.
