For sure Derrick James is currently the frontrunner in the race for Trainer of the Year. Because of the big wins by Errol Spence and Jermell Charlo.

But if Terence Crawford happens to beat Spence I don't think that automatically catapults BoMac into the lead. You shouldn't win that award based on having just one guy in one fight.

No doubt! If Spence beats Crawford, he's Fighter of the Year, and James is Trainer of the Year!

I never thought about it but Canelo coming back so soon after a loss is definitely admirable. Now, I don’t know if that was part of his contracted agreement but if it wasn’t, then props to him. A lot of fighters take a year or more to come back after a loss.

I like bread but when he publishes letters sucking his **** it makes for a very cringe read.

Bivol has come off as tepid over the last few years. He was handpicked for a reason”
Thats exactly right. If canelo/Reynoso had any clue that bivol was capable of doing what he did, he wouldn’t have been an option.

So Canelo takes a risky fight against the consensus #1 or #2 light heavyweight in the world...but the critics STILL won't give him any credit because he must have "handpicked" Bivol.

Keep coming up with your little bullshit narratives just to hate on the guy. It only makes it obvious how mentally ill you all are.

Nowadays yes, not so much back in the old days.

Canelo coming back on 9/17/2022 was part of the contracted agreement, his promoter, team member's, and Canelo himself just didn't expect to lose against Bivol.
