  • Comments Thread For: Shakur Stevenson Believes He's Taken Bigger Risks Than Fighters at 135

Shakur Stevenson believes he is in a class of his own. The crafty 130-pound southpaw from Newark, New Jersey, does not think that any of his upperclassmen in the talent-rich 135-pound division have a win on their records as impressive as the one he picked up in his most recent ring outing.

Well if you can't count Loma v Teo because Loma had one loss maybe Kambosos and Haney match is good enough? Two undefeated champions

Devin haney, Garcia and tank are the only ones with no notable names in their resume, haney might change that in a few days.

      As of now :
Lomachenko has (W) Rigo (L) teo.
Teo has (W) loma (L) Kambosos.
      Kambosos has (W) teo.

But they all also have wins over some good top level names like Luke Campbell Commey diaz....

Shakur will be hard to beat because of his style. Mayweather was another defense-first fighter. Punchers always have big trouble with these types. Who wins between Haney-Stevenson? I pick Stevenson.

Hate how people try and hold that lost to Salido against Loma. Dude fought a multiple weight division champion in his 2nd fight , this is why nobody wants to take any risks . If anything it's impressive as hell how good he did

Put Loma against Oscar and he'd violate him

I love Shakur, but this cap Valdez is not that good, and he was busted for PEDs around the time he had his best win, shortly followed by a gift decision over Conceicao. Shakur was also the favorite heading into that fight, because he was that much better than him - I see no real risk on Shakur's. It's not his fault either - that he is that good. Shakur needs to move up, that will be the beginning of him him really testing himself.

Seriously. Loma took on a guy much more experienced than him as far as pro experience goes. Salido fought so dirty landing his countless low blows without getting admonished by the ref as well. I give Loma so much props for taking that fight.

Russel jr and Walters weren't supposed to be walk in the Park for Loma either.

Stevenson fighting fights he is supposed to win. 130 in 2022 is average and he is big for the weight.

Fck undefeated, both Valdez and Stevenson were undefeated because they took one risky fight at best in their career.
COnceicao beat Valdez worse than Salido did Loma. And Loma never got any favor from the judges.

Would Valdez and Shak go through Salido, Russell jr at 126, Walters, Rigo, Sosa, Ramirez at 130, Linares, Campbell, Commey, Nakatani, Lopez at 135 and remain undefeated? Remain to be seen...

Sick or hearing pampered undefeated fighters talking sht about fighters who took a L because unlike those undefeated prima donna they are fighting all comers see Loma, Mell, Canelo...

The only undefeated fighters who can talk sht IMO are Fury, Bud, Usyk and maybe Spence.

                  The rest are unproven.
