Comments Thread For: Hearn Brushes Aside Usyk-Joshua Rematch Delays: 'AJ is Fighting Twice This Year'

Eddie Hearn has no intention of letting his star heavyweight charge move off his typical fighting schedule. Anthony Joshua, the former unified heavyweight champion from London, has fought mostly twice a year going back to 2017. His activity, however, has dimmed in the past couple of years mostly because of the global coronavirus pandemic. He fought only once in 2020, against Kubrat Pulev, and last year, against Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk.

After AJ loses to Usyk in the rematch will anyone even want to see him in December?

Other than Spence/Crawford an A.J. vs Wilder fight is the fight I'd rather see than any other match up in the sport

Why, with Joshua's glass jaw and BUMSQUADs Raw power, it'll be over in 1 or 2 rounds.

This is the rise of 'Dark Joshua'.

Now? Whether he wins or loses against Usyk.

People need to understand that, Dark Joshua is here.

              .

Joshua's got a lot to prove against the little guy and my thoughts are he gets hammered even more emphatically this time.SO if he fights again this year it will be against a Chisora type guy .....rematch with Whyte or the like.

No, after Joshua decisively beats Usyk - it will be a modern day version of Floyd Patterson-Ingemar Johansson II - he’ll go on to fight Fury later this year. That is if Fury can be pulled away from getting wobbly-legged drunk in France and openly palling around with a suspected Scottish gangster.
