Comments Thread For: Haney: I'll Prove Doubters Wrong, Show I'm Real Deal in Kambosos Fight

WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney has made it clear that he won't fall for any of the mental games from his upcoming opponent, George Kambosos, who holds the IBF, WBO, WBA titles. They will collide in a full division unification on June 5 in Australia.

Not sure Devin can win...but it sounds at least that his attitude and motivation is right. It seems like Kambo has been out of the ring for a while...but maybe I'm just imagining that. I think it's going to be an interesting scrap...and that Haney is correct...one way or another we will find out what he's made of.

I think feather puncher Haney will get KO’d.

Haney is no emotional dumb ass like Lopez. Skills pays the bills and those belts are coming back to the states

Haney is more skilled than Kambosos, but a big risk to fight him in Australia.

He has cajones, not knowing how the judges will be influenced by the crowd if it goes the distance. Haney can get caught clean and hurt, and I don't rate him as highly as say, Shakur and Ennis, but he is a very smooth boxer.

The location of Australia throws this fight more in the balance otherwise I'd predict a unanimous decision for Haney.

Devin Haney is fighting an up hill fight over there in Australia, but at the end of the fight I believe that he'll be announced the winner.
Simply because from what I've seen, Haney is the superior boxer, he's also fought the better opposition coming up the ranks.
It would be in Haney's best interest to open up with everything he's got, if and when rocks Kambosos in order to leave no doubt about who the winner is.
I really enjoyed the way Kambosos put an ass whipping on Big mouth Teofimo Lopez, but since winning the title Kambosos has become a two faced snob.
Winning a championship titles don't necessarily mean that you'll carry yourself like a champion, as a matter of fact it sometimes brings out the worst characteristic's in an individual.
Devin Haney is an even keeled individual who knows how to keep his composure, even during heated moments, and I respect him for that as well as his exceptional boxing skill's.

You have to root for Devin and hope that he gets fair treatment over there. I remember what happened to Pacquiao down there. He's fighting great odds.
