Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn: Katie Taylor-Amanda Serrano Rematch Should Be Next; Would Be As Good

LAS VEGAS - The only option Eddie Hearn expects to seriously consider for Katie Taylor's next fight, short of a lucrative crossover fight against MMA stars Cris Cyborg or Holly Holm, is an immediate rematch with Amanda Serrano.

I don't think Serrano wants the rematch. She has hinted that that weight is an issue but enough cash might get her in the ring again.

The first adjustment she has to do is get a different pair of boxing shoes.

I don't understand, why she is wearing them shoes. I guess it never mattered against other opponents. But one of the best things about Katie is her footwork. You just can't be wearing Gym shoes against Katie.

Ever since the fight ended, Serrano has sounded like someone who has lost her burning hunger now that she’s finally gotten paid. I really think her main motivation in a rematch wouldn’t be to avenge getting robbed in the first fight - it would be just grabbing another paycheck. If that’s the case. I doubt there will be a rematch because Serrano will want too much money. And if that’s where her mind is now, it’s no great loss if there’s no Taylor-Serrano II

I think that was her main goal to be financially well off from this fight. Because that was a big reason why she didn't accept the fight straight away before because she wanted to be paid more and then she hooked up with Jake Paul and he managed to get her paid more and now I think she's happy because for a long time she was fighting for a few thousand dollars when she was a world champion so now this is a goal set for her off being financially secure from boxing

She better knock Taylor out and not relent at any time. Coasting won’t work against the protected fighter

Amanda Serrano, like Delfine Persoon were denied a historic legacy defining win by incompetent or crook judges, that favored Katie Taylor's SLOPPY-ASS-PUNCHING that landed off the legal scoring areas.

There is something screwy going on at these 'Undisputed' clashes : Katie Taylor has pulled multiple cappers defending her 'undisputed' lightweight crown, the public knows shes a fraud.

Recently, we had a few controversial outcomes with similar circumstances as Taylor-Persoon & Taylor-Serrano, one of these is clearly a blatant shameless robbery in these contest for all four titles and supremacy in their respective weight-classes : Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano and Josh Taylor vs. Jack Catterall.

What's causing all this? I think the history of corruption in boxing would raise su****ion toward the promoters, networks and other interested parties that need belts to con and sell their product to their subscribers, would seem to be a reasonable explanation.

i dont get it, im sure serrano will go for the rematch even if the cash is same as first fight, she just doesnt play her cards straight off, she will get as much cash as possible as she should do, taylor took more punishment in that fight than serrano so i dont see any issue for her at all, it was a good tough fight for both girls, serranos conditioning was worse than taylors though who finished stronger

Its funny when serrano was asked did she think she won the fight she said she wasnt sure yet her fans cry robbery, same with persoon II, when persoon was asked did she win the fight she said no taylor won, yet the fight is often classed as a robbery, must be a connection somewhere, oh yeah it must be taylor
