Comments Thread For: Katie Taylor And The Long Journey To Forever Change Women's Boxing

NEW YORK - Katie Taylor went to the extreme at nearly every turn of her boxing journey through her final days in the amateur ranks. Donning headgear as she entered a boxing gym as a 12-year-old pretending to be a boy named Kay just to box in Ireland at a time when females were not permitted to do so. Convincing the International OIympic Committee (IOC)

If they want to change women’s boxing they should do without the robberies she had over Persoon.

Amanda Serrano has to make sure that a robbery doesn't happen in their fight.
Serrano has to take the decision out of the judge's hand's, by knocking out or winning by TKO against Taylor.

You're holding women's boxing to a standard that you haven't held the men's to. Robberies happen in boxing all of the time, with home fighters almost always getting the advantage. The sport is corrupt from top to bottom.

            Yet here we are

I can't say people come here after every fight saying they just watched a robbery take place.
Maybe a couple of times a year.....1000s of fights a year.

Well quite, I still love the sport, but whole bunch of **** needs fixing, and whole bunch of people need erasing.

Even when there aren’t blatant robberies, you often find the judge’s scores looking shifty as ****.

What touching words by Hearn in this piece, its going to be heartbreaking for Eddie when Amanda Serrano leave Katie unconscious ; like the time when Oleksandr Usyk brutally KO Tony Bellew -- The bellen's fall was so violent that it moved Eddie to reach over attempting to protect Tony's head from bouncing off the matt.

I just hope Katie Taylor does not suffer a panic-attack like Anthony Joshua did at the Garden, the same night Delfine Persoon put her boot up Katie Taylor's ass.

Boxing needed fixing since the Mob was pushed out.
It does amaze me how there will always be that 1 scorecard that makes me SMH, even if the right guy won.

Exactly that, or as in tonight's case, TWO scorecards!!
