If he was to retire on a win tonight he would be viewed as the best of the era overall because he would have stayed undefeated, plus the whole profile of the Wilder trilogy. But still, Whyte is literally the second top 10 level guy of this era that he will have fought, and then 39 year old Wlad 6+ years ago and Del Boy even further back. Its not like hes been systematically taking everyone out.

Admittedly that is not saying a lot but therein lies the truth. This doesn’t please the matchroom/Joshua fans but it doesn’t need their blessing. And consequently he dominated wlad at a time when wlad was still on top and didn’t get beaten up doing it….he made it look so easy that people called it “boring”
Not a huge amount of quality at HW but Wilder's resume needs/needed strengthening.

Usyk is a highly skilled, undefeated fighter on most pound for pound lists. Unless they fight each other, neither will be cemented as the best of the era.

No sir. When Usyk defeats Joshua again and then another top heavyweight champion then we can be compared to fury at heavyweight

If they both retired right now there would be huge question marks and no consensus of who is the greatest. It's like Spece and Crawford at 147.

Spence, he has done far more at welterweight than Crawford has.

Tbf, that would still stand up as a decent record, though the rest of his record sees a serious drop-off in quality

Prefer Crawford, but it’s true. Been round collecting the belts as well, albeit gradually

Mostly agree. Plus, even though I reckon Usyk will eventually beat the lot, I actually think the top 6 HWs, which includes Joyce IMO, could beat each other on the right day, with the odd exception.

Obviously, Fury proved his superiority against Wilder, and beats him 9 out of 10, but even there he was on the brink. Having said this, I don’t think AJ beats Usyk in a month of Sundays, but can see him harming Fury.
