I Don't See How Any Real Boxing Fan Can Not Like Spence

No sheeit?? U really think your sharing a unknown secret??
No fighter fights walks around their fighting weight. Every fighter has to cut weight in order make their fighting weight. In the case, of Errol Spence; i agree. He was cutting at least 40 pounds or more just to get down to his fighting weight.
His natural every day weight is probably closed to 200 lbs. I say roughly between a 185 to 190 pounds. Which is why he hired a nutritionist and a new fitness coach. He admitted that not only was he was eating a lot of junk food between fights but likewise, he was a very heavy drinker as well.Comment

This. I'm quite sure that his alcohol consumption made up for a good 15 lbs that he was carrying around. I've been a heavy drinker (3-5 drinks per night) in the past but I slowed alllll the way down since 2019 (maybe 10-12 beers per week).

I kept A LOT of weight off and I haven't looked back. It's been the best move I ever made because I couldn't keep my damn weight down.
I came from 210 (my heaviest) and walked around at about 185-190 lbs. Now I'm between 145-150 lbs. Again, alcohol is the enemy (if abused) when it comes to weight loss and overall health.
Spence looked unstoppable Saturday night....you could feel he had another 3-5 rounds in the tank at that same pace he showed from the opening bell.Last edited by MeanestNiceGuy; 04-21-2022, 01:19 PM.Comment

I really don’t see why people are even mentioning him getting buzzed by a two piece while not looking or on guard. Anyone would be in that moment.
He wasn’t hurt from the punch that knocked his mouthpiece out although he probably had a little fear of being hit in the mouth without it. Made a rookie mistake and literally just went looking for it mid exchange. Came back in a few seconds and start digging again.
He wasn’t hurt earlier in the fight or round when Ugas actually didn’t throw a punch and Spence took an off balanced step back(which he did all fight). The replay videos are all online…Ugas didn’t punch he shoved Spence. Again Spence came right to him and started digging.
He may have been hurt to the body once but then again he has reacted the same way for years every time someone lands flush or targets it when he isn’t on guard to roll with it. Again, went immediately back to work.
People want to see weaknesses and vulnerabilities so they can say “look see, he’s not a machine!” But the fact remains…he’s even more destructive in the ring. And now that he’s back on point he will receive the most hate, the most exaggerations about weaknesses, and accusations.
That all means he’s right where he needs to be again. At the top.Last edited by Punch on Tap; 04-21-2022, 02:46 PM.Comment

Ugas is not an elite welterweight lol. He beat an old rusty and crusty Pacquiao, give me a break!Ugas is among the elite welterweights in the world. Which is why he was one of the division's major titleholders. The man knows how to fight. It's just as plain and simple!
It won't be the last time that Spence fights a slightly bigger fighter who gives him problems when he actually throws punches and isn't walking down a heavy bag.
My heart actually goes out to Ugas because Spence may have possibly ruined his career by him fighting so bravely in the pocket.Comment

Good for you and congratulations! I wish you continued success as you travel down the road in maintaining your weight loss. Yes, indeed; Spence was very strong on Saturday night.

He systematically broke Yordenis down with that relentless body attack of his and upper cuts. It was almost like he was chopping down a tree with those shots he landed on Ugas.
Well at least to me, it was his best performance since the Mikey Garcia fight.

Errol Spence has been the only fighter who has ever defeated him decisively. All of his other losses were close and came as a result of controversial decisions; Due to his lack of power, over defensive posture and low punch volume. He is a counter puncher who only throws punches with pin point accuracy, timing and in spurts.Comment

Errol can make any weight between 147-160 lbs. However he just so chooses to fight at welterweight at the moment but don't worry because after his fight with Terence Crawford; It would signify his last fight at 147 anyhow.
