Comments Thread For: George Kambosos: Haney's A Good Boxer, But He Ain't Elite; Will Find Out The Hard Way

George Kambosos Jr. views Devin Haney as the best available opponent he can fight June 5. That doesn't mean the undefeated, unified lightweight champion considers Haney an elite-level boxer. Kambosos claimed during a press conference Friday at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia, that he'll prove the unbeaten WBC world lightweight champion isn't in his class when they square off in two months at that same venue.

this guy is another good talker but hes not as delusional as teo, hes in a great position bringing his opponent around the world, he just sits and waits, if he manages it well he will have a nice advantage, plus close fights usually go to the home guy or bigger draw, thats how it is in boxing, so he just needs to make it close, or not so close in a lot of cases too

Kambosos is perceived like the lesser of the 135 pounders. He does have some skills, chin and mental fortitude. I think he caught the delusional Lopez on a good time that all he was trying to do was knock him out instead of using his counterpunching skills.

Haney is more mobile but doesn't punch hard. Interesting fight and obviously it is going to tell a lot about both guys. Kambosos does have cojones, wanted the Lopez fight and got it and then wanted Loma but had to settle for Haney. That has to count for something.

Haney is a gym legend, with that Mexico experience. Kambsos is the Cinderella from down under. No one is getting knocked out... but should be one hell of pillow fight.
