Comments Thread For: Hearn Expects Usyk vs. Joshua Rematch To Take Place in June

As previously reported, Oleksandr Usyk - holder of the WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF belts - announced in a video uploaded on his Instagram Friday that he has started training for his contractually-obligated heavyweight title rematch against England's Anthony Joshua. Usyk had originally been on track to face Joshua, but with the Russian military invasion of Ukraine that began last month, Usyk decided to put aside his career and enlist in a territorial defense battalion in Kyiv.

Sorry to **** this same drum, but told y'all back in Sept that Mar/April like Hearn was saying would prove to be a bust.

Didn't predict war at the time, tbf, but Hearn had nothing in place even in Feb, before Vlad's army moved cross border

AJ will quit before it comes to that then start hugging Usyk and crying "Glory to Ukraine!" in the post-fight interview.

Nah you can do better than that.

How about this time AJ will attempt to quit, but the ref won't see him begging for mercy and so Usyk will knock him unconscious and AJ will be stretchered out with an oxygen mask and the whole crowd will chant for Fury

Oh shhh usyk done his weekend warrior services, this should be a good rematch aj has none to lose, usyk high level iq with quickness. If aj win go after fury next or trilogy usyk and maybe wilder 3rd option. If usyk win go after wilder in a pic em to me if not wilder go after hrgovic or joyce winner for i just dont see any way possible usyk could win against fury. Equal iq n speed yet fury 60lbs heavier and 6 inches taller and lord knows the reach advantage as well (like watching loma vs canelo)

Tbf, mate, I just knock promoters non-stop. I don't have particular dislike for any of them beyond their capacity as capitalistic parasites. At least boxers actually risk their health for their money, and entertain us in the process.

The promoter, on the other hand, is distilled, commercial self-interest, subject to none of the risk the fighters endure. This self-interest leads to the regular ****ing up of fights I want to see.

With Hearn, in this instance, I've been pumped for an Usyk-Joshua rematch since September. I wanted to watch it ASAP. Hearn said April. I said I didn't believe Hearn. Harn now says July. I have to wait 3 extra months. Its a no from me...

You'll see me saying the same about Arum and Haymon with their ****-blocking, in-house ****ery, which tbf, they all do.
