Comments Thread For: De La Hoya Open To Making Crawford-Ortiz Once Lawsuit is Resolved

LOS ANGELES - Oscar De La Hoya knows all too well about beefing with Top Rank boss Bob Arum. In the year 2000, the Golden Boy sued and eventually split from the Hall of Fame promoter.

Mr Crawford, ever hear the expression “out of the frying pan and into the fryer?” Ponder that before going this route sir…..

His lawsuit has nothing to do with making Ortiz/Crawford….. Crawford is a free agent what the hell is Oscar on about?

That's what I was thinking! Crawford's a Free Agent, so his lawsuit against Arum should not be an obstacle! Seems like Oscar is looking for obstacles lately! After seeing what he did with Munguia, there's no Spence fight in Ortiz's future! In fact, the only title fight available for Ortiz is Crawford, so long as Crawford doesn't sign with PBC!

No, Crawford just fought his mandatory in Porter. Ortiz needs to fight for a title eliminator first.

So Oskie needs to offer Bud a fortune to make this fight. I doubt GBP can afford that...

Oscar may wanna wait till Ortiz gets better and figure out his best direction to take. From what I can tell he may be killing himself to cut weight whether that's from blowing up between fights or just pure dehydration is speculation at this point but something caused the rhabdomyolysis
