Comments Thread For: Munguia Still Considering Offer To Challenge Charlo After Passing On WBO Interim Title Fight

It's up to Jaime Munguia to close the deal now that he is down to one option. As previously reported by BoxingScene.com, Tijuana's Munguia was recently removed from the WBO middleweight title picture after stalling on plans to next face Kazakhstan's Janibek Alimkhanuly (11-0, 7KOs) in an interim title fight. The sanctioning body moved forward with a newly ordered fight between Alimkhanuly and England's Danny Dignum (14-0-1, 8KOs), while Munguia continues to mull an offer to next face WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo as this goes to publish.

Let's make it happen, it's probably the most exciting fight in the middleweight division outside GGG vs either Munguia or Charlo, put it on in Texas, and will blow the roof regardless of where they stage it. Hope it comes off, it will be a barn burner for sure.

Is Munguia and his team going to turn down another title shot for fear of losing?

Take the Charlo fight instead of hoping for some hopeful fight with Canelo or Golovkin.

Well when faced with the option of Janibek Alimkhanuly ( HIGH risk LOW reward) or Charlo ( HIGH RISK HIGH REWARD) the choice should be easy. For once he will not be involved in a gimmee fight. Lets see what stuff he and his team are made of.

I wonder if we'll see as many "Munguia is ducking" threads as we saw when Andrade didn't fight Alimkhanuly. If he doesn't fight Charlo it's going to look even worse for this guy

This fight needs to happen! Seems like if it doesn’t, Munguia would be to blame.

Mungia doesn’t need this fight unless its PPV..

if not tell those clowns to kick rocks & keep building Mungia up into a superstar..

Munigia doesn’t need that WBO trinket either, it’s just a way to try and box him in for a fight against that scab Andrade

Okay Oscar Arum. I honestly don't card because I don't rate him at all. He's clearly ducking everyone with a pulse so I'll watch him when he's finally steps up.
