Oleksandr Usyk joined a territorial defense in Ukraine to fight the Russian invasion of his homeland on Monday. The WBO, WBA, IBF, and IBO heavyweight champion of the world became the latest Ukrainian to take arms in the war, joining lifelong friend Vasiliy Lomachenko and Hall of Fame heavyweight champion brothers Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko.

All these guys are heroes. Then you have the DWTS guy sneaking out of Ukraine to get to Los Angeles. Everyone's wired differently.

matchroom boxing just released a statement: we appreciate usyks situation and want to give him all the time he needs. We will be waiting for him as soon as he is ready.Anthony Joshua never shies away from a challenge and will even take a bout in the interim if necessary for an interim belt if he has to as if usyk cannot defend soon we will petition he be named champion in recess. AJ has shown the heart of a champion time and time again the rematch will be no different- Eddie Hearn

Where were these heroes to defend the dignity of Ukraine during the last 7 years of foreign (non Ukrainian and non Orthodox Christian) occupancy? And CNN? Please understand the Western Atheist ******** have nothing but the deepest contempt for Slavs and Orthodox Christians. Only if they can be a useful weapon against Russia are they getting some air-time. The West supports an Israeli oligarchy that has looted Ukraine and left it a 4th world failed state.

These boxers, even though a week ago I basically idolized Loma and Usyk, they are really naïve to think the west cares about Ukrainian sovereignty. CNN of all networks. SMH.

And this Russophobe is petty among Ukrainians. They are like the Scottish toward the English - they would cut off the nose to spite the face. Pride can be a very toxic thing in extreme amounts.

Praying for him, his fam and all the Ukrainians! Usyk, Loma, The K bros and I believe Postolas well are REAL warriors. It always baffled me when boxers or combat sports fighters claim tgeyre warriors when they arent going to war. These guys eserve all the respect and hope none get injured or killed. Fcuk *****, that ******* piece of sh.it!

But Ukraine was a part of the USSR before 1991. They are literally relatives. This is almost like Russia annexing land. IT is what it is.

Anyway, AJ gets a tuneup with his new trainer/s. I'd advise fighting Frankie Sanchez, old but a crafty mover. Good prep fight.
