  • Comments Thread For: Chris Eubank Jr. on Kell Brook: Fight Makes a Lot of Sense; Give The Public What They Want

Chris Eubank Jr. believes there is more momentum than ever for a clash between him and British compatriot Kell Brook. The middleweight contender called out Sheffield's Brook to a fight soon after Brook notched a career-defining sixth-round stoppage over bitter rival Amir Khan in Manchester last Saturday.

Junior has fought at super-middle & is calling out an older career welterweight...definitely not a good look. But if he's looking for a fight, I'd suggest Benavidez-Eubank Jr...that'd interest ME anyway.

A fight with Brook makes no sense at all. Who does this guy think he’s fooling?

He’s definitely not going to mention Benavidez. As far as Eubank Jr. is concerned, he’s never heard of Benavidez and he wouldn’t want anything to do with him.

I don't know what has happened to Hurd but him being so inactive and so tall I can't see him ever making 154 again - that'd be a good fight style-wise if Eubank doesn't try and imitate Roy Jones all night. If Hurd wins he's a legit contender at MW. If Eubank wins he has the scalp of a former titlist.

Lol I don't know who enjoys watching Eubank Jr fight. No thank you. Brook can fight Benn or retire rather, he got the win he wanted over Khan.

I have to disagree, the fight does not make sense 'And the public is not demanding the fight'.

I don't think the fight will materialize anyway, definitely not at 160 pounds. Dominic Ingle seems to only be considering the fight if it is at 155 pounds or below 'According to a interview I saw with him'.

Kell Brook vs Conor Benn is a better and more relevant fight for Kell Brook. And that fight can happen at 149-154 pounds, as Benn himself has stated that he will move up to 154 pounds.

Eubank Junior should ether fight Saunders in a rematch or get a big fight on the world stage 'They are his two options'.

If Eubank Junior vs Brook is to happen at 155 pounds 'This automatically devalues the fight far too much'.

Nash really likes this fight at 155. We must respect the opinion of the Great Nash. Benn vs Brook is good too. Not fussed on Liam Smith vs Brook though. maybe Liam Smith can have a crack at Amir Khan. Couldn't see him winning, but might last a few rounds. Nash out.

Eubank isn't a very respectable boxer to begin with but calling out an old small Brook is a new low. Eubank is more delusional than I thought if he thinks anyone (other than the Nashole above me) is calling for or is interested in the prospect of this fight. Eubank is really an embarrassment now. He's been claiming for years that he wants to fight the best at HIS weight class but yet he calls out a small, old Kell Brook.
Regardless of what he thinks, the fights not happening anyways unless he gets down to 155 which is a totally reasonable request from Brook considering he weighed in at 148 against Khan. Eubank must be out of his mind to think that Khan should move up to 160 where he has every advantage possible. I would take Brook over Eubank at 155 but he's too much of a coward to do that.

Fight makes no sense, one is a career welterweight and the other is a middleweight? unless there is a personal rivalry between them I see no point in it..
