Comments Thread For: William Zepeda Survives Knockdown, Floors Luis Angel Viedas Three Times In Third-Round Knockout

William Zepeda flirted with disaster to extend his knockout streak. A wild lightweight battle saw Zepeda overcome a flash knockdown to score three of his own in stopping Tijuana's own Luis Angel Viedas. The final sequence saw the unbeaten contender floor Viedas and follow with a body shot while his countryman was on the canvas, though avoided disqualification as the referee reached the ten count at 1:51 of round three Saturday evening at Plaza Monumental in Tijuana, Mexico.

Honestly, this should've been a DQ. Two punches after kd's but besides that, Zepeda looks average at best. The other guy slipped and injured his leg early and still was countering Zepadas slow a$$ shots.

I think they do with a lot of power punchers. Ignore the flaws because "all they need to land is one punch". It clear Oscar just name dropping. This kid is far from ready for that kind of fight. Haney KOs him if they fought next.

Yeah, I just hate that the fans eat it up. I always root for the young guys but I didn't even see any power, just slow wide shots to be honest. He isn't ready for anyone after that performance. Oscar won't risk any of those guys anyhow so he'll be guided like Munguia or someone. 40 fights before a step up.

It was an odd fighting style he had to go up against.

That dude would have made any fighter look horrendous.

I need to see another fight or two for Zepeda to see what’s up.
