Comments Thread For: Castano Complies With WBO 'Show Cause' Order; Challenges Claims Made By Tszyu's Promoter

Brian Castano has done his part to clear the air with the WBO. As BoxingScene.com previously reported, a right biceps tear has forced Argentina's Castano (17-0-2, 12KOs) to withdraw from a planned March 19 undisputed junior middleweight championship rematch with lineal/WBC/WBA/IBF champ Jermell Charlo (34-1-1, 18KOs) at ******.com Center in Los Angeles. The injury occurred earlier this month, reaching a point where the WBO junior middleweight titlist could no longer effectively train for the biggest fight of his career now just four weeks out.

Only good of this is,now we will not have 2 good cards going up against one another. Was going to forgo Vergils fight to attend Castano vs Mell but looks like I get to see the future of 147 live afterall.

Why cancel it let Tszyu take his place and Castano the winner...but no that would be too hard...4 week delay for a Bicep injury?? please, pull the other one would be at least 2-3 months wouldn't it??...how can he train??

Injuries happen in this sport, it is BS for the WBO to push this issue, the man say he injured take his word for it and allow him to Reschedule then after the rematch you can order your BS Mandatory

Funny thing is how both these fights were going to be down the street from each other. I’m just glad I don’t have to worry about dual streaming both fights now.

PBC would not allow Charlo vs Tszyu. PBC would lose all the belts to a non PBC fighter and that fight is not big enough to cash out Charlo like they did with Plant and Wilder.

It's unbelievable that the PBC already had language in the contract that they could drop the WBO belt to avoid Tszyu.
