I never quite get this - who should be making the offer? If the fight is to be in an Aussie stadium then surely that end of it needs to be sorted by an Australian organisation.

But most of the time it's the networks who provide most of the money so they set a budget and the promoter linked to the network makes the offer? In this case DAZN and Hearn.

But I'm thinking that DAZN's model is subscription driven and in the short term Haney doesn't have a name to pull in new subscriptions - so they can't offer much of a budget? Perhaps DAZN can take a longer term view - if Haney beats Kambosos then he is undisputed which is bound to see bigger fights in the near future - unless he relinquishes quickly because he can't make the weight anymore. Or they don't have confidence in him as a draw or fighter?

I'm also thinking that the more time passes since Kambosos' win the less of a name he has as the memory of his excellent win fades from people's memories.

Messy! Kambosos needs to make a decision.

100% as the Australian unified champion who wants to fight in Australia, Team Kambosos need to be doing the maths and making offers... No one except Australians want to fight, or even watch, boxing in Australia if they can help it.

“At the moment, Kambosos is only considering two possible opponents - Haney and former three division world champion Vasiliy Lomachenko.”

Bill haney was running his mouth last week about how kambosos has to realize that America is where the fight has to happen lmao. They think that the fight with haney is for “undisputed” like no lol. George kambosos is the undisputed champion. He doesn’t need to fight anyone to be considered undisputed. He’s the unified champion. Haney had a good shot at getting the fight fast Eddie repoed kambosos at the lopez fight he’s haneys promoter, why can’t Hearn get that fight made? Cause they don’t want it. Kambosos has options. Whoever he fights will be infinitely better than anyone haney ever has just like his last fight

Kambosos is not undisputed. Haney is the WBC champion and Kambosos needs to beat him in order to become undisputed.

I suppose you can't blame Kambosos for getting a bit greedy.

He has travelled a lot to his fights, and he got a huge win over Lopez. Now he wants to get some good millions and get out of the sport. He already has a beautiful wife and children, so that money will set his family up for the rest of their lives.

So, I think he's out for the biggest payday and doesn't care about undisputed titles or that label.

Kambosos as champion can set the parameters. He'll invite all offers. So the onus is on those that want the fight to make a tempting offer to secure it. The difference in this situation is that, apparently Kambosos team want to promote the fight. So it'd be promoted by Lou DiBella and Peter Khan I guess. Normally the team who wants the promotion is the team who pays for the fight. But in this case Kambosos team want the promotion and to be paid by the other fighters team, and it would go on Dazn, in the case of Haney, as they're now operating in that territory. So it's a case of Kambosos kinda wanting the best of both worlds. A having your cake and eating it scenario. But Hearn has said they'll go with that. So why is there a hold up? It seems Kambosos is a bit extravagant in his purse demands at the moment.
