Comments Thread For: WBA Re-Orders Akhmadaliev-Rios, Assigns 90-Day Deadline For Title Fight To Take Place

Murodjon Akhmadaliev is currently presented with the dilemma of moving forward with a new assignment or revisiting an old foe. The unified WBA "Super"/IBF junior featherweight titlist is in the uncomfortable position of having to juggle two mandatory title defenses. Akhmadaliev was recently ordered by the WBA to revisit previous plans for a title defense versus California's Ronny Rios (33-3, 16KOs).

I believe Ronny Rios is a GBP fighter, not PBC.

I think Tapales is the PBC fighter,.Tapales fought on PBC in December on Donaire's undercard! PBC would be pushing for Tapales to get the fight, not Rios!

DONAIRE-GABALLO UNDERCARD: MARLON TAPALES STOPS HIROAKI TESHIGAWARA IN TWO ROUNDS

CARSON, Calif. – Marlon Tapales dropped Hiroaki Teshigawara three times en route to a second round knockout victory in an IBF junior featherweight world title elimination bout on the Nonito Donaire-Reymart Gaballo undercard on Saturday.

Tapales, of the Philippines, improves to 35-3, 18 knockouts...

In the opening bout of the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) card, junior welterweight Jesus Silveyra Carrillo improved to 10-6-2, 4 KOs by knocking out Tijuana’s Miguel Perez Aispuro (12-11-2, 8 KOs) at 2:39 of Round 2.

“Akhmadaliev is the 122-[pound] world champion and will face Rios, who occupies the first position in the ranking of the pioneer organization.”
WBA doing a childish power play over the IBF.
When they created a confusion over who the real mandatory
        Is it Rios? Hovhannisyan? Kameda?
Rios got sick and they panicked they couldnt get money so they schemed to get a new mando

This garbage money-grubbing organization deserves no respect from fighters.
        Akhmadaliev is above this crap
He should throw the WBA belt into the trash

just another roadblock thrown by WBA to occupie MJ (keep him away), has nothing to do with Rios being GBP or PBC fighter, the final result is the same

The WBA should know better than to order a mandatory the same time a different one was.

Maybe the WBA is throwing roadblocks, but that has nothing to do with Al Haymon. Now if the IBF was throwing roadblocks, then in this case, you might accuse PBC, but that's not the case.

it seems the writer dont have time to research. this is not tapales first career title fight. he's a former champ at bantam but losing the belt the next fight due to overweight
