One of boxing's most electrifying, young knockout artists is set to return to the ring March 19. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that unbeaten welterweight contender Vergil Ortiz Jr. will meet Michael McKinson in a main event that night. GB just needs to be honest that they have no legit opponents for Ortiz. Ortiz will have to put himself in position to become mandatory to a welterweight belt holder or move up cause McKinson is just boring and uninteresting to watch. Whatever happened with Ortiz signing to MTK?

Hated on mungs, but the kid won me over in his last fight. Wish him the best, and I hope he doesn't take cherry pick soft route.

Ortiz is already ranked #1 by the WBO and in position to be Terence Crawford's mandatory.

What does having legit opponents have to do w/t anything? Boots fights on Showtime but is fighting bums like Dulorme over Thurman, Porter, Garcia etc.. who are also on the network. Fact is, Vergil is ranked 1 or 2 on 3 of the 4 governing bodies this fight w/t McKinson will make him Bud’s mandatory for the 2nd half of 2022

Pretty good card all around 4 undefeated fighters in main card.

Munguia could easily get a shot at Charlo or Andrade...what happened to fighting Adames at least after he beat Derevyanchenko who Munguia was mentioning fighting

at least Ortiz opponent is Ranked in the WBO
