Comments Thread For: Usyk On Being Undisputed: It Will Be a Very Loud Statement From Me

Oleksandr Usyk is closing out 2021 as one of the top fighters in the sport. Back in September, the former undisputed cruiserweight champion became a two-division beltholder when he outboxed betting favorite Anthony Joshua over twelve rounds to capture the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight titles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It would be quite the accomplishment, however I just don't see him beating Fury.

AJ is nothing like Tyson Fury. Fury is totally different style.

Whenever I see this guy in interview, I see no drama, no identity or confidence crises, no lifestyle difficulties away from boxing, just a 100% cold and ruthless MF.

I think he will be undisputed (if the orgs don’t get in the way) and it will be as much down to mentality as ability

If Usyk becomes undisputed at hw by beating Fury, he becomes the best fighter of this generation.

I see him being too much work for fury. What can fury really do other than try and lean on usyk? Usyk can take aj and jj's power..so fury js no threat. It will go the distance..and usyk is so good that his constant body of work will overwhelm fury.
Fury has reach, but even against a low skilled wilder, he was only just nicking rounds with the odd jab more. Itll be easier for usyk to get inside, in fact it'll be easier than even the aj fight.

Fury boxes very well and moves much better than AJ. He had changed up his style for the Wilder fights. Expect him to change that recipe to his usual slick ways. Too big and too good for Usyk to hang with. No robotic quitting machine when it comes to Fury like it was with AJ. Fury in 9.
