Offering to fight on PBC, is not the same as signing a contract with PBC. Oscar has steered the BIG fight away from him too! He wouldn't have even fought Jo Jo if Garcia didn't hurt his hand! Arum took Loma and Commey away from him too! Seems the message is "get down, or lay down!" If Eddie can't get Kambosos for him, then Haney needs a new business partner! If Eddie has nothing to do with him, then his Father needs to do more talking than Eddie!Again, Hearn has ended Haney's contract with them a year or so ago.
The Haneys are virtually homeless (promotionally speaking.) No one wants to sign them.
Hearn have been announcing to those who are interested, "You can have him, I have nothing for him."
They've been forcing themselves into the DAZN statosphere taking any fight Hearn could provide them,
ie, Gamboa, Linares.
It's the same with Andrade and many of the DAZN fighters. (They're not that many.)
Andrade even offered to fight at PBC for the Charlo fight. It was turned down.

Question: Why would Matchroom make Kambosos vs Haney if it allowed Haney to just walk away with the belts? I believe the answer is that they won't.
Wouldn't the logical (money) choice be a multi fight deal with Matchroom for a shot at the belts in Australia? And if boxing is about money would not the second, most logical choice for Matchroom be a money fight with the best known lightweights in Australia...Lomachanko vs Kambosos? The problem that both Haney, Andrade have is that neither are names that draw made more difficult by the ******uous relationship between sanctioning bodies and promoters/managers. For the record, I think it is Lomachanko that needs to get away from TopRank because Bob will never allow Lomachanko to fight outside of ESPN.
IMO a fighter's ability to draw, competing promoters, managers and the sanctioning bodies are most definitely difficult obstacles. That said, these obstacles become insurmountable walls when fighters are forced to deal with individualizes that have exclusive network rights that they use like a gate keeper to act in THEIR own best interest and not in the interest of the fighter, sport or the fan base.
IMO....If ESPN and Showtime did away with the exclusive rights to any promoter/manager we would see more contenders with access and much, much more competitive fights.Comment

I must admit....I had no idea that Andrade offered to fight Charlo on PBC and that it was turned down. That really, really complicates everything.Again, Hearn has ended Haney's contract with them a year or so ago.

IMO, the only hope for the sport is the end of exclusive network rights. Again, IMO, Andrade vs Charlo may not benefit the gate keeper with exclusive network rights but it would benefit the two guys fighting shallow stables of nobodies for peanuts.Last edited by factsarenice; 12-27-2021, 01:34 PM.Comment

when did that happen though? saying it over and over doesnt make it true. if you look at the facts loma said send me an offer or im fighitng lopez. dazn never sent an offer. lopez was much better than haney so that cant be a duck. then loma contacted haneys team and said lets make a fight and haney chose to fight linares so that should prove haney was never ever serious about fighting. oh the guy who i want to fight wants to fight...oops i cant fight him now!
Thank You! This guy has to be on something. After all, it was Loma who ducked Haney. Devin has called out every major player at the Lightweight division and they have all ducked him. He is the most avoided Lightweight in the division. Loma, Ryan, Teo and Tank have all ducked him.Comment
