Canelo says he’s going to be about 180. That’s only about 5 to 6 pounds more than he was at Canelo weight/155. I think he’ll still be fine at 168, no?

Word is Canelo will be looking at Breidis who’s the number 1 Unified Cruiserweight and Ring Champion. I hear folks calling out for Breidis now but I get the feeling the moment that fights announced they’ll come out with excuses on why not to give Canelo credit if he beats him.

Breidis imo also matches up well with Canelo he’s a good boxer but not the best. Not he fastest and is about the same size as Makabu.

If Canelo takes out the best Cruiserweight with another year of being smw undisputed that would be some crazy shiaaaaatt.

I’ll give Canelo all the credit in the world if he is even fighting Makabu @200 pounds. That’s a tough fight. I’m giving much less if it’s @190. Briedis at 200 with no clauses isn’t happening, ever, I guarantee that.

For sure just like Jones was no way going to fight one of the other HW Champs, this is a hit and run with a belt fight nothing more.
