If FLOYD fought COTTO or CANELO at 155-160 for their Lineal Middleweight Titles, is it Cherry Picking?

Floyd was A side in both scenarios, but Cotto had the Lineal belt, and who knows if Floyd could’ve had a catch at 155. He probably knew fans wouldn’t like that since Floyd fought him at the 154 limit. Maybe Floyd felt he couldn’t beat Cotto had it been at 156…. So imagine Floyd analyzing Canelo from 152-160…

We all know if Floyd went to fight Cotto or Canelo at Middleweight the Floyd fans would’ve screamed “daring to be great.”

So Floyd diehards say Cotto and Canelo were “easy” so he didn’t need to get a 6 Division accomplishment nor it’s Lineal, but Canelo doesn’t get to do an “easy” fight 30lbs higher?

So to summarize, Canelo doing average fare of 30lbs for an opponent he hasn’t fought, significantly bigger, and is considered “easy,”

But Floyd didn’t want to do a Canelo rematch starting from 155-160 or with Cotto starting at 155-160?

That doesn’t make any sense. Floyd fighting Puerto Rican and Mexican twice would’ve been 1.5mill PPV’s average.

Conclusion: Floyd lovers say “why does Floyd have to move up?” -Larry but Floyd himself said Cotto and drained Canelo were easy work.

    make it make sense!

Except they werent lineal at the time. The lineal belt was only won when Canelo beat GGG 2 in the rematch.

Cotto beat Martinez for the WBC, Ring and Lineal crown. When Canelo vacated the WBC at 160, fans still saw him as the Lineal. Same as when Fury went into retirement and retuned later to eventually fight Wilder, Fury was the “Lineal” champ. There was debate about that

I can make sense of it. You've Benavidez at 168 who is a 2 time champion that's undefeated. You've got Bivol and Beterbiev that's champions at 175 both undefeated. It has nothing to do with Floyd and let's be clear. I have no issue with Canelo going to Cruiserweight and grabbing a title in his 5th weight class but that's what it is a title grab. The competition is alot tougher at 168 and 175 than the WBC at Cruiserweight. As I said before Canelo is due for an easier fight so I dont blame him. I do think his legacy fights will be the ones I mentioned. Right now he is the best in the sport and it pains me to admit that. I do think if he avoids those fights I mentioned there will always be questions though.

That's my point bro why is Floyd being brought into Canelo conversation it takes away from what Canelo is doing right now. What if and couldve shouldve wouldve topics can be talked about when he retires. Canelo is on his own path to greatness and constantly comparing him to Floyd takes away from that IMO
