Saunders probably won’t fight again unless he gets paid £5m he said. He’s made big money from fights and investing in properties, so he isn’t going to fight contenders for the money that would be on the table.

Benavidez v Jacobs would be good. I thought Jacobs looked bad against Rosado, maybe it was just an off night, maybe he is faded. But I think they could sell that fight and if Benavidez dealt with him well, it would make a bit of a statement. Is Jacobs still wanting to fight? You don’t hear his name much. I think that would be the most logical fight though, a common opponent of Canelo and a very credible fighter, unlike JCC jr. Would Jacobs really take that fight though? No belt on the line and I can’t imagine the money would be great and a very risky fight at this stage of his career. Then again, it’s not like he’s getting any huge fights anytime soon.
