Baracuda, my bad for getting a little mad on the other post...i just had a disappointing day.

Anyways, my point is that Floyd has about 3-4 years till he's past his prime and in those 3-4 years he can fight 2-3 ATG's. So it's really not fair to compare his accomplishments to a retired fighter;s accomplishments.

no he wasn't , dumbass. he WAS a top 10 p4p. he was no longer top 10 p4p when he fought floyd. you're looking at boxrec ring ratings. they only list the end of the year rankings for each year. zab lost to baldomir in january.

i'm 13 years older than you.

      besides......in case you don't know.......judah-mayweather was in 2006.

      even *******s were already around.

*******s came full force after Barrera although I wouldn't be surprised if some came in the Lucero fight which was his first kind of big one on tv worldwide I believe.

After the Lucero fight, I was just like WOW.

          This guy is something.

Joe vs Hopkins wasnt nearly as close or controversial as JLC vs Mayweather I, although some would have you believe it was the exact same fight.

first pac fight i ever saw was pac-ledwaba.

it was on the undercard of "the boy from east l.a. vs. the man from spain"

i ain't gonna lie. i bought that ppv. i loved oscar (except in the tito fight/pac fight/2nd mosley fight) , sad people underrate him so much.

btw tell dumb flawless , zab didn't jump from #10 p4p to #9 by losing to baldomir.

Joe fought more highly-skilled opponents like Kessler, Hopkins and Jones.

Floyd has never faced an elite, prime opponent - he avoided Tszyu, Cotto and Mosley. Calzaghe has fought an elite opponent at his peak: Mikkel Kessler.
Castillo and Corrales at the time were both better than Kessler and not too many fighters could give Oscar 12 pounds advantage and beat him , Hopkins Jones were both way past their best and Hopkins nearly beat him and Jones sat him on his ass , Cals overall resume is not near Floyds in terms of quality , Cal made a name of the back of old greats but dont think for a minute people dont know he beat shadows of what they once were , Floyd didnt avoid KT or Cotto at 140 he offered both a fight and he offered Mosley , where do you fellas get your information from .

....the way i see it is that its easier to give jlc the win vs floyd than to give the win to bhop vs joe.......so i kinda agree....

Yes but Floyd carried an injury into that fight did the right thing straight up by fighting him again that was honorable , what did Joe do he went for another washed up name rather fight BHop again and then he retired , Joe was protected his entire career and chose very carefully who when and where .
